ATCAS #44 - GOLD

Hi There

I have not been around for ages. This is my latest card which I hope will qualify for the ATCAS Challenge 'Gold'.

There is not a lot of the 'shiny stuff' but hopefully the gold ink and the pearl will make up for that!

Happy 50th Birthday

Supplies: Clearly Besotted 'Leafy Accents' and 'Fancy Florals' stamps and dies.
Die-namics 'Circle Stax Set 2'  and Memory Box 'Parker Numbers'
Simon Says Stamp 'Happy' die.

I die-cut the leaf and stamped it in Hero Arts Shadow Ink 'Field Greens' and then used Color Box pigment ink 'Canary' for the flowers.
I lightly flicked a piece of white card with green Distress Ink and then cut out the circles.
'Happy' was built up with three separate dies which I glued together and then inked with a few layers of Hero Arts Shadow Ink 'Butter-Bar'.
Tried to be as subtle as possible with the '50'  - another big milestone for someone who wanted it to pass un-noticed!

All for now.

Thank you so much for visiting.

Clearly Besotted Challenge # 10 - Spring

Hi Everyone

I hope that you have had a good Easter weekend and you have not eaten too much chocolate!

I know that this is rather last minute but here is my contribution to the Clearly Besotted Challenge  using a beautiful stamp set called Pretty Petals Plus.

This is such a versatile set and I simply love it!

Happy Birthday

Supplies:  Clearly Besotted Stamps 'Pretty Petal Plus'

I created the background for this card by covering an acrylic block with Distress inks, then
removing the surplus on a piece of scrap paper and then gently pressing the remaining ink on to the card to make a 'splodge' effect.   I did this with 'Tumbled Glass' and 'Mustard Seed'

The flower and leaves were then stamped in Hero Arts Shadow Ink 'Pale Tomato' and 'Field
Greens'.  The scalloped edge was cut from a piece of card to match the flower.

Hope you like it!

That is all for now.

Thanks so much for visiting

Clearly Besotted Challenge 9 - In Flight

Hi Everyone

It has been quite a few weeks since I last posted anything  -  have not been feeling up to
doing much crafting lately I am afraid - kind of lost my mo-jo!

My other excuse is that I have been away visiting my son and his family in Canada.
We had a great time but as you can imagine it was rather cold.  The temperatures did not
rise above -11C and sometimes the windchill was -35C!!
Anyway, we survived and it was brilliant to see our grandchildren enjoying all the activities that we usually only hear about on Skype.

Back to the reason that I am here and that is for the Clearly Besotted Challenge
I was lucky enough to win the January Challenge -  in fact  I'm ashamed to say that was my last post!  Anyway for this challenge I have used a stamp set that I received as part of Stephanie's very generous prize.  I was so lucky to be able to choose £30 worth of these beautiful stamps.  No pressure but I am going to have to put them to good use!

This is what I came up with . . .

Butterflies in Flight

Add caption
Supplies: Stamps  "Fabulous Fuchsias' and 'Good Times' Clearly Besotted
Dies 'Lovely Labels'

As usual this was simple to do.  I used Adirondack 'Lettuce' for the leaves and the fuchsias are inked in Versa Magic Chalk Ink 'Perfect Plumeria'.

I just love the sentiment which is also from the Fabulous Fuchsia set.

Well that is all for now.  I have got one or two more cards that I will try to post soon.

Thank you so much for dropping by.

Clearly Besotted Challenge 7 - Love

Another quick post so that I can enter the Challenge at Clearly Besotted  This time it is all about love and I just happen to have the Mini Love Heart set which is very useful.
I had some new Colour Box inks for Christmas so I thought that I would try them out on this card.

This is what I came up with . . . .

Just for you

Supplies:  Stamps - Clearly Besotted  'Mini Love Hearts and
 'Full of Surprise'

I stamped the hearts with Colour Box Cat's Eye pigment inks - Seaglass, Cayan, Lavender and Robin's Egg.

I realise that this is a little low-key but it hopefully gets the message across!

Thank you so much for visiting.

Addicted to CAS - Challenge 29 - Die Cuts

Hello Everyone

I thought that I would go for something a bit more colourful for the challenge at Addicted to CAS  this week.  As usual I am a little  late with my entry - only 4 more days to go and so many entries already.

This is my card . . . .

Have a Fantastic Birthday

Supplies: Die - 'Die-namics Circle Stax Set 2
Stamps:  Clearly Besotted  - 'It's your Birthday'

There was a lot of sponging involved in this card using some new Hero Arts inks that I had
for Christmas.  A very simple technique using a torn piece of scrap paper.

This stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps is so useful.  Stephanie has released yet another wonderful set of stamps this month - you could always pop over there and have a look!

Well I have to be quick this morning.  I have got a Pilates class to get to - I can really recommend it!

Thanks so much for visiting.

Less is More Week 153 Colour Challenge

Happy New Year Everyone

I have not been around for a few weeks.  Not a lot of time for crafting with all the things that have to be done this time of year.
Anyway, things seem to be gradually getting back to normal although I am rather late for this challenge at Less is More this week.
I hope this fits the bill but I have introduced a little bit of pink -  not sure if this is allowed!

This is what I have come up with using Clarity Stamps.

The Best Things in Life are Free

Supplies: Clarity Stamp - Little Boy Fishing
Sentiment: Clarity Stamp

The background to this was a bit of an experiment.  I smeared a small perspex stamping block with  Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) sprayed it very lightly with water and then randomly dabbed over a piece of white card.  When this was dry I repeated this process with Distress Ink (Tattered Rose).
I then stamped the little boy fishing and the sentiment with a dark blue ink. To finish off I added some sequins and mounted it on to a piece of blue card stock.

Perhaps I should point out that the sentiment does show up better in real life!

Well, that is all for now.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Addicted to CAS Challenge - Code Word 'Anniversary'

It is the first anniversary at Addicted to CAS and it is all happening on their blog at the moment!  The challenge this time - needless to say - is 'Anniversary' and as usual the design team have done an amazing job with their inspirational samples.

My card is very simple.  I seem to be short of crafting time at the moment - this is what I came up with . . . .

Happy Anniversary

Supplies: Clearly Besotted Stamps - 'Mini Love Hearts'

This is perhaps too CAS - I will leave you to judge!  This stamp set is so versatile with the different shaped hearts.

After I had finished the card I realised that it did not have to be a one layer card.
This has meant I made it more difficult for myself than it needed to be.

That is all for now.

Thank you for visiting.
